Is Rover Psychic???
About the Little Known Psi Trailing.
Everyone has heard the tales about animals journeying
for thousands of miles to find their masters, one of
which
was recently featured in the movie "Homeward Bound".
But there are thousands of such stories.
Every domestic dog or cat owner can speak lovingly of
how "Snookums" just seems to understand feelings
of
melancholy or loss. So are these animals reading body
language or telepathic vibes?
That animals possess strange and unexplained powers
has been generally recognized for thousands of years.
There are monuments to dogs, geese, dolphins and other
animals of all descriptions, commemorating acts of
sacrifice, and bravery, or disasters averted and lives
saved by the intervention of an animal.
Cases have been reported of animals changing their
behavior at the time of their mastersí deaths
or
becoming restless when the master approaches home
There are also cases of animals being taught simple
codes or systems of communication involving barking,
pawing, and so forth and then utilizing these new codes
to identify hidden objects or to answer questions in
telepathy or clairvoyance tests.
"Psi trailing" refers to cases in which animals
have
been successful in locating their masters with all
known sensory clues having been eliminated.
There are many authenticated stories but there is no
statistically controlled scientific research In 1882
the
Society for Psychical Research tried to examine three
categories of research:
1. Migration of birds, insects and certain marine animals.
2. Experiments in the homing behavior of mice, cats,
pigeons, dogs etc.
3. Unusual behavior covering a wide spectrum of
phenomena.
Migration and spawning are common place behaviors
and expected for our aquatic, avian and even some
insect species.
The physical metamorphosis of spawning salmon is
caused by changes in their fat composition, blood
chemistry, hormones, enzymes and skin pigmentation.
Salmon come back to the water body in which they
were born by "remembering" the smells they
encountered as they migrated toward the sea as
juveniles.
Migration is stimulated by biological rhythms. Much
of
migration activity in birds is controlled by an internal
clock operating on a circannual rhythm. Each year, at
a certain time, this clock signals that it's time to
fly
northward to breed. Photoperiod (periods of light)
probably also affects migration Patterns for migration
are another separate issue. There are many factors,
variables, and reasons that cause birds to choose
migratory routes other than straight lines. Often the
avian choices for north and south are via different
routes.
Along their migratory routes, monarch butterflies stay
nights in certain trees. The "butterfly trees",
as they
are called are carefully chosen. Species of tree is
unimportant, but they are always the same trees.
Year after year, whether moving south or returning
north, monarchs will rest their wings at dusk on a
single tree. What is interesting is that the butterflies
who journey south are not the same ones who come
back. Those who flutter northward in spring are the
next generation. Yet, they roost in the same trees
as
did their ancestors. Scientists say butterfly trees
are
chemically and physically identical to the trees
surrounding them. No other tree will do. Investigators
have camouflaged colour and scent but the monarchs
were not fooled.
Duke laboratory did research in Psi Trailing in the
1950's. The ANPSI project (coined from 'animals' and
'psi') took 500 anecdotes and broke behavior into 5
categories -
1. Behavior suggesting pending danger to animal or
master
2. or suggesting animal's knowledge of danger to master
at a distance.
3. or anticipation of master's return
4. or homing behavior
5. or psi trailing (pets trailing their owners by psychical
propensity)
In the Duke investigations, Dr. Rhine devised criteria
by
which conscious or unconscious deception could be ruled
out and where fact could clearly and conclusively be
separated from rumour. Journey's from 5 miles to 5000
were documented and verified.
Dogs are known for psi trailing (orientation by
unexplained means). This is also known as the "homing
instinct". Dogs make their way through streets
they
have never seen, cross rivers, traverse mountains, etc.
But there is no proof that it is an instinct.
Cats appear to have superior and unexplained
knowledge, orientation (as when a cat finds its way
to
places it has never been before) and precognition
(foreknowledge of events to come). How do they figure
out which direction to go? In spite of detours and
deviations, animals figure out where to go.
Cats and dogs possibly have enhanced orientation sense
because a part of their back brain has more iron than
ours and is thus more sensitive to magnetic pole
influences.
For mammalian psi testing, laboratory studies have
been developed to include methods that allow animals
to demonstrate their psychic abilities on demand. There
have been experiments with mice to pre cognize or
foretell randomly selected events. (In this case, electric
shocks on cage floors - UGH!) The role of the
experimenterís own psychic functioning was not
removed completely from these animal psi experiments,
and it was not possible to be completely certain
whether psychic functioning exhibited in the experiments
belonged to the animal, the experimenter, or both.
But
bottom line here is that when mice could run away from
an electrified floor in advance, if they weren't precognitive
about the random experimental event they certainly were
telepathic with the person controlling the electricity.
When I curl up with my cat because I am feeling sad,
I
know he understands my feelings. It likely remains
irrelevant and unknown to him that my latest romance
is
finished, but he sure "knows" from somewhere
that I
need the comfort of his purring. That empathy alone
is
part and parcel of a psychic exchange.

If it is possible for someone to alter their own future,
then wouldn't you say that you can alter who you want
to
be with? I guess I am wondering because I am regretting
breaking up with a past boyfriend. I am wondering if
it is
within my own means to bring him back and have another
try at the relationship. Can you alter your future to
be with
someone or does it depend on him as well?

Hello,
Yes, you are certainly in control of and can "alter"
who
you wish to spend your life with. In the case of wanting
an old boyfriend back, it is beyond your means (or should
be) to control his life decisions. You CAN try to influence
his decisions, you can try to address the issues that
split
the two of you up originally, and you can certainly
communicate your desires to him, but ultimately he
controls his own life and controls the decisions about
who he will spend his life with, just as you do control
those decisions for your own life.
My intuition and common sense here tell me that if you
do all of the above and the guy still is unresponsive
and
unwilling, he is not worth your time and energy to
consider as a suitable partner for yourself.

Which Itch is Which???

We all know how it is to have an itch that you just
can't
scratch. An itch is a sensation in the skin which causes
the desire to scratch or rub the afflicted area. An
itch
can also be a constant teasing desire, i.e. itching
for
action, or an uneasy sensation which impels us to do
something, i.e. itching for trouble.
If we dream of an itch it indicates that we are a neurotic
masochist and we could be our own best friend, if we
gave up gloom and doom as our spiritual food and started
emphasizing positivity in our lives. There are a few
varied
superstitions regarding the possible divinatory meaning
of
an itch, some are as follows:
Head - An advance in position and general good luck.
Right Ear - Someone is speaking well of you

Hiccups as an Omen?
Hiccups are supposed to be unlucky because when
you have them you are believed to be owned by the devil.
The Old British and European folks believed that
hiccoughs (according to the medical profession's spelling)
meant that someone was thinking of you. In Greece they
thought hiccups meant that someone who disliked you
was
complaining about you, and the only cure was to correctly
guess the name of your rival. The Germans thought that
you could cure them by soaking a piece of paper cut
in the
shape of a cross and then plastering it upon your forehead.
Filipinos figure that a saliva wetted thread placed
on a
baby's forehead cures the little mite's hiccups. Some
children believe to cure hiccups, drink water while
bending
over or standing on your head. Pliny, in 77 AD suggested
that if you find a horseshoe, then whenever you get
hiccups,
look at the horseshoe and remember where you found it.
That would cause the hiccups to disappear. Of course
the
favourite British treatment is still to hold your breath
and
count to 100!
